that kind of week

Murphy’s Law of Parenting #359 says that as soon as you take your focus off of your toddler to clean something in the other room, the child will create another mess for you to clean up. Sigh.

How’s your week going, lovelies?

p.s. “They” say the ability to draw straight lines and not just scribbles is a developmental milestone so, yeah. There’s that.

  1. Oh dear. Where did she do it? Do you remember us telling about when Chris was about 3 or 4, he got up earlier than we did and with a green crayon drew a line around the entire white living room walls at about the 3-foot level. But, as you pointed out, this may be a breakthrough or a milestone in Wren’s art career …..

    • yes, that green crayon is exactly what I thought of when she did this in our bathroom. Breakthrough indeed!

  2. The marks are so wonderfully colorful, hard not to kind of like it — well, other than the part about having to clean it up. my week is just nutty. crazy busy. but then again, when is it not?

  3. Have you looked at the site, $hit My Kids Ruined lately? That might make you feel better. If that doesn’t, maybe misery loves company, as my week is not going according to plan, either…..

p.p.s. new to your blog. first impression = you have fabulous hair.

    • Celeste! Thanks for clicking in on me. Interested to hear your crayon story – thanks for the tip! On a day when my hair is two haircuts overdue and looking a bit too Farrah Fawcettesque, your compliment makes this Mamma smile. Thank you!
